About Datura Kilos, a Los Angeles company
A California-registered entertainment company working out of downtown Los Angeles across production, live events, and streaming formats.
What the company is
An entertainment company, not an agency and not a talent management firm. We take on projects and deliver them — a piece of content, a live event series, a format built for a specific platform.
Datura Kilos, Inc. is registered in California and works from 1120 W 6th Street, Apt 1413, Los Angeles, CA 90017. We carry a project from planning through delivery rather than handing it off — which also means saying no to work we cannot deliver well.
Production
Content planned, shot, and finished to a delivery date.
Live and venue
Event series and room programming built around a real audience.
Formats
Shows shaped for the platform where the audience already watches.
How the three lines fit together
Production, live, and formats are not three separate businesses under one name. They share people, planning, and the same audience questions.
A live event produces material that can be cut for streaming. A streaming format can point back to a ticketed night. A production project can be built with a venue in mind from the first draft. The entertainment market no longer separates these things cleanly — audiences move between a show, a clip, and a room, and the work should hold up in all three places.
A night becomes a cut
We plan the camera positions and the run of show together, so the room is already built to be edited the next morning.
A format points back
When a series needs an audience in the room, we say so in the format itself rather than bolting a crowd on afterwards.
A venue enters the draft
If the room shapes what gets made, we scout it early instead of writing a script the space cannot hold.
Why the company is based downtown
Downtown Los Angeles puts us close to venues, production crews, and the business side of the industry. Most of the people we need to talk to are within a short drive, and the venues we scout are often walkable from the office.
The address is a working base rather than a public space, so visits are by appointment. Being in California also simplifies contracting for U.S. partners and keeps the company's registration and paperwork in one jurisdiction.
Working from the base
- Visits by appointment, Monday to Friday
- Venue scouting within walking distance of the office
- California registration for U.S. contracting

Working principles
We ask about the audience before we discuss the idea. We settle the format before we budget the production. We would rather make one small thing that works than a large thing that needs explaining.
What we control, and what we do not
When a project does not fit our lines, we say so and, where we can, point to who does fit. We do not promise outcomes we cannot control: no attendance numbers, no view counts, no placement on a platform. What we control is the work and the plan behind it.
Audience first
Who is this for, and where do they already spend their attention? That answer decides the shape of the work.
Format before budget
A clear format tells us what the production actually needs — and what it can leave out without hurting the result.
How projects usually start
Most projects begin with a call or a short written message. We ask what it is, who it is for, and roughly when it needs to exist. From there we give a view on which line applies and what a realistic first step looks like.
That step is often smaller than the partner expected: a pilot piece, a single night, a paid discovery phase. Starting small is not caution for its own sake. It is how we find out whether the idea holds before anyone commits a full budget.
See our services-
1
The first conversation
What the project is, who it is for, and when it needs to exist. No deck required to get started.
-
2
Which line applies
We say whether this is production, live, a format, or some combination — and who would own it.
-
3
A realistic first step
Often a pilot piece, one night, or a paid discovery phase sized to test the idea properly.
-
4
Plan, then deliver
If the first step holds, we write the plan behind the full project and carry it through to delivery.
What we do not do
We do not sell tickets to third-party events, we do not run an affiliate business, and we do not claim relationships with platforms or rights holders that we do not have. We do not offer investment advice or revenue guarantees.
If a project needs a license we do not hold or a rights package we cannot use, we will say that in the first conversation rather than after a contract. It keeps the work honest and the partnerships longer.
The market we work in
The U.S. entertainment market in 2026 is fragmented. Streaming remains central, but attention splits across short-form video, live events, audio, and social platforms, and the business side keeps consolidating.
Parks Associates' tracker counted 370 U.S. service profiles in one update, with 275 SVOD, 141 AVOD, and 60 FAST platforms. PwC's outlook points to ad tech and first-party data as critical valuation drivers.
For a company our size, that fragmentation is the opportunity: there is more room for well-made, specific work than there was when a handful of channels decided everything.
Who we are built to work with
We are set up for partners who know their audience and their constraint. The common thread is that the partner has something real to start from — whether that is a room, a following, or a catalog.
Brands that want entertainment attached to their name
You have an audience relationship already and want something made around it that people would actually watch or attend.
Venues that need programming rather than one-off rentals
You have a room and a calendar, and you want a recurring series instead of a string of unrelated bookings.
Creators who need production and distribution support
You want help making and placing the work without giving up the thing that makes your work yours.
Rights holders who need a format built around what they own
You have a catalog or a property and need a show shape that uses it well on the platforms where it can travel.
What we are trying to build
Over time, the goal is a body of work that holds together: live nights in Los Angeles, content built for the platforms where audiences actually watch, and formats that can travel without losing what made them work in the first place.
We are not trying to become the largest company in the market. We are trying to be the one partners call when they want something made properly and delivered when it was promised.
One small thing that works beats a large thing that needs explaining.
How we decide what to take on at Datura Kilos.
Questions partners ask first
Do you work outside Los Angeles?
Our base and most of our venue work are in Los Angeles. We do take on projects elsewhere in the U.S., and we are straightforward about what travel and local crews add to a plan.
Can you take a project that is already partway along?
Sometimes. We will look at what exists, what has been decided, and what is still open, then tell you whether we can carry it from there without redoing the whole plan.
Do you guarantee attendance or view counts?
No. Nobody can honestly promise those. What we commit to is the work, the plan behind it, and delivery on the date we agreed.
How do you handle rights and licensing?
We work with what the partner holds or can clear. If a project needs a license we do not have or a rights package we cannot use, we raise it in the first conversation.
What does a first step usually cost in time?
It depends on the line, but the first step is deliberately small — a pilot, one night, or a discovery phase — so the decision to continue is made with something real in hand.
Where can I see what you have made?
Our services and streaming format pages describe the kinds of work we take on and how each one is structured. For anything specific, write to us and we will answer directly.
